Click on the map in this message and you will see that the "mega-permits" for groundwater out of the Simsboro formation that underlies Lee, Bastrop, Milam and Burleson counties impacts on an entire region. If you live in this area -- from Brazos to Lavaca, to Gonzales counties, you're affected!
We urge your attendance at a public hearing of the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District next Wednesday at 7 pm at Bastrop City Hall, 1311 Chestnut.
A hearing on the End Op, L.P. permit demand for 46,000 acre-feet per year of groundwater, likely for export, is on the agenda.
We urge your attendance to show your concern. We also suggest that you speak on this item.
We are working on materials to share with you before this meeting. Please reply to this message if you want to be sent these materials ahead of the meeting or just show up 6:30, 30 minutes before the hearing begins.
Please share this alert and, of course, we're here if you want to call us.
All the very best for all Texans,
P.S. We will have a gathering after this event at La Hacienda Restuarant as we have some important news we would prefer to share with you in person after this hearing.
