The trip to San Antonio on Thursday is NOT happening YET!
The bad news is, as expected, SAWS unanimously approved a $3.4 billion contract. No one had seen the contract until last Friday! SAWS Chair, Berto Guerra, after hawking the Vista Ridge 142-mile pipeline as the "deal of the century" for 15-minutes, reduced the public comments to two minutes because there were "so many" people who wanted to speak. There were nine!
The good news is that San Antonio Mayor Ivey Taylor, who sits on the SAWS Board, did seem to be listening to us. We are hopeful that she will call a full public hearing in the coming weeks. That's when we really need you there!

Some of us are going to San Antonio tomorrow to speak to the Council. If you want to join us there, it's the same plan, just tomorrow NOT Thursday. Call or reply to us for details.
We also hit a home run in the media -- lots of TV, radio and print.

We have a $3.4 billion deal by the tail and we're not just gonna let it go. Back soon y'all!
